Filming Permit application form,

  • Feature film / Docu-fiction feature film

    The Filming Permit shall be issued within 15 days, starting on the day after submission of the completed application (cf. the circular dated 28-11-2014).
    Incomplete applications cannot be processed.

    • A request for a filming permit from the production company, signed and stamped by the company manager and addressed to the Director of the MFC (cf. the circular dated 28-11-2014);
    • The Filming Permit application form , duly completed, signed, and stamped by the company manager (available on this web site).
    • A copy of the script in Arabic or French
    • A film synopsis in Arabic or French
    • A list of technicians recruited during filming who hold the PIC (Professional Identity Card), trainees registered with the MFC, and persons holding qualifications in the audiovisual field
    • The contracts of technicians recruited during filming must be submitted with the application (cf. the circular dated 18-03-2004). Other contracts must be submitted to the MFC before the start of filming, or within 5 days of the said contract being signed
    • The Production Manager must be a Moroccan national and a PIC holder
    • The minimum number of technicians to be recruited during filming who are holders of PICs issued by the MFC is 12. Of that number, at least 7 must be chief operators (cf. the circular dated 20-12-2004)
    • The production company must recruit one trainee for every 8 PIC-holding technicians. Trainees must be recruited from those already entered on the trainee list that is available from the MFC together with their registration numbers (cf. Law 20-99)
    • The work schedule (cf. the circular dated 19-07-2004)
    • The call sheet for each day’s filming must be submitted to the MFC on the eve of filming (cf. the circular dated 05-03-2015);
    • Evidence of having paid the Filming Permit fee pursuant to the current scale of charges
    • A copy of the attestation that the script has been entered in the Public Register of Moroccan Film
    • Evidence of qualification from the country of origin or copy of the Professional Identity Card for foreign technicians who are recruited to fill posts in the production of Moroccan films (cf. the circular dated 20-12-2004).
